Apres Ski Ideas? Snow Problem!
It was a great day on the slopes, but your looking forward to getting out of that wet gear and especially...taking off those ski boots! Nothing is better than pulling off your ski boots after a great day of skiing. But once you exchange your ski boots for a pair of Ulu’s (nothing like it), there are plenty of ways to enjoy the rest of the evening. Sure...you could grab a beer and watch the game in the lodge there are other options.
Ready to find someplace warm, but not ready to slow down just yet? Grab a yoga mat and find a class in a studio, a resort or online. A regular yoga practice can help with injury prevention and recovery time.
Not ready to go inside just yet? Tubing mountains will often stay open later than ski slopes. Better yet, channel your inner child by grabbing a sledding disc and find a hill. Of course, you may have to take those hills on foot. Good thing you have some great boots. But after you are done, grab a warm blanket, a chaise lounge and a warm drink to kick back and watch the sunset.
But what kind of warm drink?
Hot chocolate? Yes, please! You’ve earned those calories. Kick up the chocolatey goodness with some of these options: Nutella, peppermint candy, orange zest, pumpkin pie spice, cardamom, cinnamon, turmeric, cayenne pepper or a combination of a few of these. Looking for something fortified? Sure there’s peppermint schnapps, but there’s also, irish cream, Fireball, bourbon and tequila. How about adding tequila, cinnamon and cayenne pepper to your hot chocolate for a treat worthy of an Aztec god?
